Wrote 30 character prompts in 30 days and honestly most of them were garbage, that was the point
Everyone in this community keeps saying you need to sit with a prompt until it sparks, polish it, workshop it with your group. I did the opposite last month and wrote one character prompt a day for 30 straight days, no edits, no second drafts. Maybe 6 of them were actually usable. The other 24 were stuff like a dentist who hates teeth and a pilot afraid of clouds, total junk. But here's the thing, forcing myself to crank out bad prompts made the good ones come faster by week 3, because I quit waiting to feel inspired. My friend Dana read all 30 and said number 19, a night janitor who writes letters to the building, was better than anything I'd workshopped in 6 months. So no, I don't think every prompt needs to be good, I think most of them need to just get written. Anyone else tried a daily prompt streak and did the bad ones actually help you or just waste time?
