Why I picked an older Grove over a new Chinese rig for my last job
I had to choose between a 2003 Grove RT530E and a brand new Sany for a 3 day job in Phoenix moving HVAC units. Everyone told me the Sany was the smarter buy with the warranty and lower hours. I went with the Grove because I know that old American steel and parts availability beat out the fancy features. The Grove ran solid all 3 days without a hiccup. Has anyone else stuck with older iron and regretted it or felt it paid off?

Man, I ran a 98 Grove for years and it still started every morning like it was new.

Three different friends of mine had their 98 Groves eat a head gasket before 60k miles, so I don't know man, @rileynguyen. I think you got the one good one that rolled off the line on a Tuesday morning.
