Switching from a 2-part to a 3-part tagline system on my mobile crane cut my daily setup time by about 15 minutes in Phoenix.

The extra tagline point gave my oiler a clearer spot to stand and signal, which sped up our whole communication loop, so what's your best small change that saved a surprising amount of time on site?

Our crew in Tucson tried a third tagline point on a 60-ton lift last summer. Honestly, it just added another line to get tangled during the swing. We shaved more time by just painting a bright orange box where the oiler stands. That visual cue cut out all the hand signal confusion right away. Sometimes adding more gear just gives you more stuff to manage.

Is that orange box trick something you could patent or is it too simple?

Ever try to solve a problem and just make a new one? I'm the king of overcomplicating stuff like that. So that orange box idea is pretty genius, right?
