Rant: My old spotter used to shout directions with hand signals, now I just watch his phone screen like a sports replay
After he dropped a load of rebar near a crew in Austin last spring, we switched to a tablet setup with a live cam feed, but I still catch myself waiting for his arm to go up and nearly panic every time he texts 'clear' instead.
