Rant: After a rough patch, our team's communication during lifts is smoother than ever.
It's amazing how much difference a few daily huddles can make.

Honestly sounds like settling for less. Smooth talk during lifts just means you're wasting time chatting instead of moving weight. Those extra huddles probably eat into actual work and create more problems than they solve. Feels like people just want a pat on the back for fixing a mess they made. Real teamwork shows in the results, not in how nice the chatter is.

Know what saved time? We talked through each lift first.

Consider how a five minute huddle stops a thirty minute redo. I've been on sites where someone assumed everyone was on the same page, and we had to take the whole load down because the rigging was off. That smooth talk you hate is actually confirming weights, hand signals, and escape routes. It feels like chatter until you see a crane swing wrong because of a misunderstood nod. Real results come from not dropping stuff, and that needs clear talk. But hey, if you like extra work and near misses, keep skipping the talk.
