Hot take: a rigging chart app on your phone is NOT a backup for knowing your angles
Buddy of mine on a 60 ton job in Tulsa tried to swing a load off the app instead of doing the math, and the chart didn't know about the slope of his outriggers. We caught it at 15 degrees off before anything tipped, but he swears the app would've flagged it. Anyone else tell greenhorns to learn the tables first or am I just old school?
