Dropped $380 on a load chart app and a tablet for the cab, and it has already paid for itself twice
I used to keep a folded paper chart in my vest pocket, and last month in Tacoma I almost picked a boom angle that was 600 pounds over on a 12 foot radius. A veteran operator on the crew kept telling me to stop guessing and get the digital charts, so I finally spent $380 on a rugged tablet and a yearly chart subscription. Two weeks later I caught another near miss on a rooftop HVAC pick in the rain, where the old paper chart was too smudged to read. Anyone else running digital charts in the cab, and how do you keep the screen readable in direct sun?
