I ran a blind pick at a steel yard near Gary, Indiana and my rigger wanted hand signals while I wanted the radio, so we tried both on the same 40 foot I-beam. Hand signals were faster but I lost him behind a stack of pipe twice, and the radio kept cutting out near the big electrical panels. What do you all run for blind picks when the load disappears, do you trust your spotter's voice or do you keep your eyes on the hands?
