Saw a note taped to the library door in Boise about couch co-op night, made me think about how we got started
I was walking into the Boise library last Tuesday and there was a flyer taped to the glass for a couch co-op night, bring your own controller, 6pm to 9pm. It got me thinking about my own group, because 5 months ago we were down to 2 people showing up and I almost called it quits. What turned it around was something dumb and small. I started texting the group a photo of the actual game case on Sunday nights instead of a group message asking who is free. Something about seeing the box made it real, and now we have 5 people every Friday and a waiting list. Has anyone else found that a stupid little ritual keeps their game night alive?
Read somewhere that the groups who last are the ones with a dumb little habit like that, something you do every time no matter what. Texting the box pic is way better than asking who's free, cause asking gives people an easy out.
