Wrote off airbrush makeup for 6 years, then a bride in Phoenix made me eat my words
I always thought airbrush was overkill and just a way to sell expensive kits to new artists. Six years of doing bridal work with traditional foundation and I never had a complaint. Then last October a bride in Phoenix showed me her trial photos from another artist who used airbrush, and the finish was so smooth I couldn't believe it. I borrowed a kit from a friend at the Scottsdale salon and practiced on 4 clients before the wedding. The bride cried when she saw her skin in the mirror and I've now done 11 airbrush brides since. The coverage lasted 14 hours through 95 degree heat and a outdoor ceremony. Anyone else here switch to airbrush later in their career? Do you still reach for cream foundation for certain skin types or is it airbrush all the way now?
