Warning: that new hair lightener I tried took 4 hours to process and my client almost walked out
I used a brand I never tested before on a balayage yesterday and it took literally twice as long as the bottle said, so has anyone else run into a product that lied about its processing time?

Did you see that viral TikTok about the L'Oreal Quick Blue? The girl who tested it said it took 45 minutes longer than the package claimed. I read a forum thread where three stylists said the same thing about some new brands. They all had to switch up their whole timing schedule.

three stylists said the same thing" - I get that, but I see it different. Maybe those stylists are used to certain brands and don't adjust for humidity or water mineral content. I had the exact opposite experience with a new brand last month. It processed 10 minutes faster than the box said and I had to scramble to rinse it out. Every batch can be different. Product chemists test in perfect lab conditions, not your real salon. Check your room temp and water ph before blaming the bottle.
