Vent: My mentor told me to stop using purple shampoo so much and I should have LISTENED

My mentor at Shear Magic in Austin told me 6 months ago that I was overdoing the purple shampoo on my blonde clients. She said it would make their hair look dull and ashy if I used it every wash. I thought I knew better. Well now I have THREE clients complaining their blonde looks flat and muddy. I'm having to do gloss treatments to fix it. She was 100% right. Has anyone else had a mentor give advice you brushed off then regretted?
