Tried a new toner mix on my client today and got a weird green tint

I mixed a lavender toner with a bit of blue booster for my client's platinum blonde, thinking it would cancel out her yellow tones. Instead, her ends turned a pale mint green after 10 minutes under the dryer. Has anyone else had a toner react unexpectedly like this with certain hair porosity levels?

A green tint is just your client practicing for St. Patrick's Day early, right? Classic case of the blue booster and the yellow tones throwing a party and mint green was the only color left in the fridge. Your toner mix basically said "let's make a milkshake" but forgot the pink ingredients. Silver lining: she now has a very specific shade of trendy mermaid hair that no one asked for.

Mermaid hair no one asked for, that's the perfect way to put it. Its like when you try to save money on a car repair and end up with a check engine light that throws a parade every morning. @umaadams you nailed it, the whole blue and yellow party trick is just the universe reminding us that shortcuts usually just give us expensive weird colors.
