Tried a new technique for blending shadow and it actually worked
Honestly, I always used to just pack color and blend with a fluffy brush, but this week I tried the 'pat and blend' method with a smaller, denser brush first. The difference in how smooth the transition is, especially with deeper shades, is crazy. Anyone have a favorite brush brand for this kind of work?

Sigma brushes are my go-to.

Ever think Sigma brushes were overhyped? I did until @kelly_ramirez96 convinced me to try their eye set, and the blending is actually so smooth. Totally get why they're a staple now.

Has anyone tried using a really worn out brush for this method? I mean like one that's been washed a hundred times and its bristles are all soft and not so dense anymore. I picked up an old Morphe brush that was basically done for in my opinion, but I used it for the pat and blend trick and it gave me the most diffused, airy shadow look I've ever gotten. It kind of makes me wonder if sometimes we overthink needing the perfect new brush when a beat up one might actually be better for certain techniques. The bristles being less stiff just seemed to let the shadow melt into the skin without hard lines...
