Serious question, why do so many stylists still use those crappy spray bottles?
I swear every time I sit in someone's chair they're using those clear bottles with the adjustable nozzle... the ones that always drip or spray unevenly. I bought a $12 metal one from Sally's last month and it changed everything, no clogs no mess. Why is it so hard to spend a few extra bucks on gear that actually works?

Counterpoint: those cheap spray bottles are way easier to replace when someone drops them or leaves them in the break room overnight and they walk off. my sister works at a salon and she goes through gear like crazy, the expensive stuff just means you're out more money when it inevitably gets lost or broken. plus those adjustable nozzles are great for switching between a fine mist and a soaking wet blast, the metal ones usually only do one or the other. i also find the metal ones get slippery when your hands are wet from product, which is like half the time you're spraying. the clear plastic ones are dumb but they get the job done for like 3 bucks at beauty supply, you can afford to be rough with them.

Had a buddy lose three spray bottles in one month at his shop, cheap ones got him by without cringing.

The 3 dollar bottle thing from nancy30... I mean, I get it for the break room situation, but doesn't that just mean you're accepting losing gear as normal? I worked at a shop that went through a case of those cheap sprayers every six months because they'd crack or the nozzle would break. That adds up to like 50 bucks a year easy for something that still works like crap. Idk, maybe it's just me but I'd rather spend 12 bucks once and not have to deal with the dripping down my wrist while I'm trying to section hair.
