Saw my client's roots after 8 weeks and finally got why Demi-permanent matters
I had a client come in yesterday who I'd been doing permanent color on for over a year. Her roots grew in with this harsh line every time, and I just assumed that's how it works. Then she went on vacation for 8 weeks and came back with half an inch of regrowth that looked way softer than usual. Turns out the salon she visited used a demi-permanent formula instead. That softer line made me realize permanent color is overkill for a lot of my clients who just want to blend grays. Has anyone else switched formulas and seen a real difference in grow-out?

Wait, you saw that too? I had the exact same thing happen with one of my regulars who always got horrible demarcation lines until she visited a different stylist while traveling. The difference was night and day for her new growth. Are you thinking about switching some of your gray blending clients over now?

Heard my buddy rave about the same thing after her grey coverage softened way up.
