Pro tip: Removing gel polish without a soak off bowl disaster

I tried to remove gel polish with a DIY foil wrap and acetone at my station in Austin last Tuesday, and it turned into a 45 minute mess with foil slipping everywhere. I finally got it clean but lost a client who was waiting because I was so slow. Do you use a soak off bowl or just stick with foil wraps, or is there a trick I'm missing?
