My foil method changed after watching a stylist in Tulsa

I used to weave every single section, took me 45 minutes for a full head. Watched this one stylist at a class in Tulsa do a slice instead, and it cut my time down to 25 minutes with better dimension. That was 3 months ago and my balayage clients are getting way more natural growth lines now. Anyone else switch from weaving to slicing and notice their color melt look different?
