Liquid lipstick vs regular lipstick, I finally switched for good
I used to swear by liquid lipsticks because they lasted through my 12 hour salon days, but after a client showed up with crusty patches on her lips from a similar brand, I started testing regular bullets during my lunch breaks last week. The regular lipstick needs a touch up after coffee but it fades evenly and doesn't dry out my mouth when I'm talking to clients all afternoon. Has anyone else noticed liquid formulas getting worse with the newer matte finishes, or is it just me?

You mentioned the crusty patches thing, and that really hit home for me. It feels like everything now is about maximum wear and zero maintenance, but nothing in life actually works that way. We expect our food to last forever, our clothes to never wrinkle, and our lipstick to survive a full meal. But then we complain when things feel fake or plastic. Regular lipstick fading after coffee is just honest, I guess. It's like the difference between a face that moves and a face that's frozen from too much botox. We traded comfort for convenience and forgot that real things need touch ups.
