Hit 3,000 blowouts yesterday and honestly it kinda hit me weird

I was just counting up my appointments for the year and realized I've done over 3,000 blowouts since I started at the salon in Chicago back in 2018, and for some reason that number made me feel old and proud at the same time - anyone else ever get caught off guard by a milestone like that?

That hit me weird" is exactly right, I've had that feeling too. It's funny how numbers can just sneak up on you like that. You spend all this time just doing the work day in and day out, then one day you add it up and suddenly you realize how much time has actually passed. It's like looking at a pile of sand and realizing every grain is a person you helped or a moment you shared... it just hits different than you expected.

Man, I totally get that. I was doing some math the other day and figured out I've probably made like 15,000 cups of coffee for my coworkers over the past five years. Which sounds impressive until you realize how many of those were just panicked mornings where I was like "here's your caffeine, please don't talk to me." It's weird to think about all those tiny moments adding up, but then again I could also just be overthinking it while staring at my own empty mug.
