Had the worst Saturday of my career last weekend at Sola Salon Studios

I had 3 back-to-back color corrections that all went sideways. One client wanted a rose gold balayage but her hair was BRIGHT orange from box dye, and it took me 6 hours just to lift it enough. Then my last client of the day cried because the toner grabbed too dark in her ends. Has anyone else had a day where you just wanted to walk out?

Oh man, that sounds brutal. I gotta ask - when that balayage wasn't lifting fast enough, did you already know you were in for a long day, or did you think you could push through and fix it? Because from what you're describing, that orange box dye sounds like a nightmare that just snowballed on you. How did you handle telling the other clients you were running late too? I'm always curious how people manage those time crunches without losing their cool completely.

Wait actually it was a bayalage not a balayage lol. Bayalage is more of a sweeping motion with lightener, balayage is the one that's handpainted. But yeah the second I saw that orange mess I knew it was gonna be a nightmare. I just texted the other clients straight up and said "hey I'm running behind" and most of them were cool about it.
