Finally ditched cotton rounds for reusable bamboo pads - game changer

I used to go through a 100-pack of cotton rounds every 2 weeks for toner and makeup removal. Switched to reusable bamboo rounds from Etsy about 6 months ago, cost me $8 for a set of 20. My skin actually feels less irritated now and I'm not throwing money in the trash every month. Anyone else make the swap or stick to disposables?

Read a dermatologist say that cotton rounds actually cause micro-tears in your skin over time, especially if you're scrubbing toner on your face. That made me switch to bamboo pads too, and I noticed way less redness around my nose where I used to rub the most. I do a big load of them in a mesh bag with my towels every Sunday, keeps them soft.

It's funny how once you start noticing one thing like that, you realize how many small daily habits are actually kind of rough on your body without us thinking about it. Like how I used to scrub my face with a rough washcloth every night and wondered why it was so dry.
