Dropped $340 on a hooded color processor and it just sits there judging me

I bought this fancy hooded dryer for doing color processing at my chair because my back was killing me from running back and forth to the shampoo room every 5 minutes. Used it maybe 3 times in 6 months and honestly my clients hate sitting under the hood, they say it feels like they're at the dentist, so now it just takes up half my station. Did any of you actually make a hood work in a busy salon or did I just light $340 on fire?
