Debate: spent $300 on a top-tier hair dryer vs. sticking with my $50 drugstore one

My expensive Babyliss cut drying time in half but my cheap Conair still gets the job done so which one actually saves you money in the long run and has anyone else had a high-end tool crap out on them after a year?

My $30 Conair from Target has been going strong for four years now, so I know your pain with that expensive stuff. My sister's Babyliss died after 13 months right after the warranty ran out, and she was so mad she went back to her old one. Maybe its just me being cheap, but I figure if a cheaper tool does the job and lasts longer, I'm ahead on money. I've got a bad habit of buying the fancy thing and then tripping over my own feet and dropping it in the sink anyway. So I'd rather keep my cash in my pocket and have a dryer that survives my clumsy self.

Haha wait, you DROPPED IT IN THE SINK? That's wild @parkernelson, I'd be so mad at myself lmao. Honestly though, I'm with you on the cheap stuff surviving better.
