Debate: Are expensive hair oils actually worth it?
I used to think spending $40 on a tiny bottle of hair oil was a total scam. My go-to was always the $6 drugstore stuff and it seemed fine. But after trying a sample of a high-end argan oil from a salon last month, my split ends looked way better after just a few days. Now I'm torn - is that just placebo or is there really a difference in quality? Anyone else flip-flopped on this one?

I spent $50 on a "miracle" hair oil once and my cat ate the bottle. $50 cat toy basically. But in all seriousness I caved and bought the expensive stuff after my hair dresser guilt tripped me about heat damage and my split ends did look better idk if it was just me trying to justify the price though. Maybe we're all just paying for that fancy bottle design and the placebo effect but my hair feels less crispy so I'll keep lying to myself.

Nah, I gotta disagree @beth559. Most of that expensive stuff is just water and fancy marketing. You're paying for the bottle and the smell, not magic.
