Bride's purple shadow turned green by the time we got to the reception

Did a wedding party for a bride in Austin last Saturday, and her lavender eye look oxidized into a swampy green within 3 hours of the ceremony. She was cool about it, just laughed and said 'at least it matches my dress,' but the photos are a mess. Has anyone else had a pigment shift that fast on oily lids, or was it the cheap primer the venue provided?
