The fact that 90% of construction firms are still using paper for punch lists blew my mind

I read it in a JOC article last night and had to double check the date. Aren't we like 10 years past the point where that should be normal?

Paper has a place though. It forces you to slow down and actually think about what you're writing before you put it down. There's something about the physical act of writing that helps me remember things way better than typing ever does. Plus you never have to worry about a paper notebook dying on you or losing your work to a software update. I like that it's just there, always works, no distractions. Not saying digital tools don't have their benefits, but paper still wins for certain things in my book.
