PSA: Get your lien waivers signed before the check arrives, not after
Cut a $47k progress payment for a sub in Tacoma last week, and he handed me the signed waiver 3 days late because his office sat on it. It matters because the GC can hold your final draw hostage over that missing paperwork, so make it a condition of the invoice, not a follow-up. What do you guys do when a sub drags their feet on waivers?
