Pouring a slab in Phoenix when the pump truck hose blew at 6 AM

We lost about 3 yards of concrete onto the subgrade and had to chisel it out before the finishers even showed up, so now I always make the pump guy cycle the boom once before we start, and I'm wondering if anyone else builds that check into their morning routine.
