My punch list on the Oak Park job went from 74 items to 6 in 11 days
Three weeks ago our PM in Oak Park handed me a punch list with 74 items on a 12 unit reno. I figured we were looking at a month of callbacks. What actually worked was grouping items by floor instead of by trade, so my drywall guy and the painter hit the same rooms back to back instead of me calling them out twice. Also started writing the exact location on each item like "unit 4B, north wall, 6 inches above outlet" instead of "patch wall." Got us down to 6 open items as of Monday. Still chasing a squeaky door on 2A though. Has anyone had luck with a checklist format that keeps subs from missing the small stuff?
