I finally checked the actual water damage numbers on a job we bid last month
Pulled the moisture readings on a 3,000 sq ft basement we quoted for waterproofing and realized we underbid by about $4,500 because the drainage plan didn't account for the clay soil retention rate - has anyone else had to redo bids after getting real field data back?

Totally been there, underbid a crawl space wrap by almost two grand after the soil report came back.

Man I felt that one in my bones. Did the same thing on a retaining wall job last spring, thought I had it dialed in but the drainage aggregate prices shot up and I ate almost a grand. Sucks when the real numbers slap you in the face after you already sent the bid.
