Hit 50% rework reduction after switching to daily 15 minute huddles
I used to think morning meetings were a waste of time. Kept thinking my crew knew what to do from the blueprints. Then we had a framing issue on a job in Bakersfield where the plans didn't match the foundation layout. That one mistake cost us 3 days and about $4,000 in extra lumber. So I started doing a quick 15 minute huddle every morning just to go over the day's tasks and any red flags. After 4 months our rework dropped by half. Anyone else seen big numbers from a simple change like that?

Have you noticed how many things in life just need a quick check-in to keep from going off the rails? It's like that with my own routines too... I started making a little list before I go grocery shopping so I don't buy stuff I already have, and it saves me time and money every single week. Same idea with texting a friend before I head over to make sure they're actually home... saves a whole lot of wasted trips. It's funny how we all just assume things are fine until they're not, and a tiny bit of planning catches so many problems before they blow up.
