Tried Metallic Epoxy vs Regular Stain on a garage floor job

Finally used a water-based metallic epoxy on a 2-car garage last week after years of just acid staining. The depth of color was INSANE compared to what I'm used to. Has anyone else found the prep work way more forgiving with the metallic stuff?

Yo @grant.margaret, doesn't it feel like you can mess up a lot and still end up okay with prep? I swear, I've saved so many meals that way.
