TIL that OSHA says silica dust exposure can cause lung cancer even if you don't smoke

I was reading their fact sheet after a job in Denver and the stats on how fast it can happen were way worse than I thought. What's the best respirator you guys actually wear all day, not just when it's super dusty?

That stuff is no joke. Saw a guy get real sick from it on a site years back, and he was young. Ended up with a half-face respirator with P100 filters, the kind with the pink discs. It's the only thing that actually seals right for a full shift without killing your face. The cheap paper ones are basically useless for silica.
