Spent $80 on a power trowel blade and it was junk from day one
Bought this brand new blade for my trowel machine, figured the higher price meant better quality. After about four slabs the thing started leaving gouges everywhere. Anyone else getting burned by fancy priced blades lately?

Ugh, that's brutal. Your mileage may vary but I've had way better luck with mid-range blades than the fancy ones lately.

Have you tried that with kitchen knives too? I grabbed a set in the middle price range a couple years back and they actually hold an edge way longer than the expensive ones I used to chase. Might be worth a shot next time you're looking to upgrade.
