Spent $600 on a power trowel attachment and it totally flopped on me

I picked up one of those electric ride-on trowel attachments for my walk-behind last month from a guy off Craigslist. Figured it would save my knees on a big warehouse floor I was doing near Columbus. First use and the thing kept throwing balance every time I hit a seam, just about launched me off twice. Ended up finishing the 20,000 sq ft slab with my old manual trowel anyway, took me two extra days. The guy won't take returns and now it's just sitting in my garage. Anyone else get burned by a fancy attachment that sounded good on paper?

That "regret city" phrase hits close to home. Seems like half the deals people jump on these days end up being buy one headache, get one free.
