Just finished a 1,200 square foot garage floor solo and it came out glass smooth
Got a last minute call for a job in Tempe, and the homeowner wanted a super flat finish for his car collection. Managed the whole pour and finish by myself over two days, and the final broom texture is perfect. Anyone have a good trick for keeping your magnesium float from sticking on a big slab like that?

That Tempe heat must have helped the cure.

Yeah the heat helps but it's a double edged sword, anthony_wells. If it gets too hot too fast the outside cures hard and traps moisture inside. You gotta watch it close. I learned the hard way on a project last summer. Best move is to cover it with damp burlap for a few days, even in that Tempe heat. It keeps the surface from baking and lets it cure slow and even.

Ngl, I actually think slower cure's better even if it takes longer.
