I was finishing a patio in Mesa last month and a homeowner pointed out my trowel angle was too steep.

Honestly, how steep are we talking? Tbh I've seen some guys hold their trowels almost straight up and down, it's wild.

Notice this happens with every tool. People see a pro do something extreme and miss the years of feel that got them there. They copy the angle but not the touch, then wonder why their work looks bad. It's the same with trowels as it is with golf clubs or chef's knives.
