Hot take: I saw a crew in Phoenix try to broom a slab that was way too wet

They were working a driveway in 110 degree heat and started brooming while it was still bleeding water... it left deep grooves and a terrible finish. Now I wait an extra 20 minutes, no matter how much the client is rushing me. Anyone else have a hard rule they follow after seeing a job go wrong?

Ever use a float to close it up first?

Sometimes you gotta broom it wet in that heat or it'll set up too fast to finish at all.

True, but have you tried a misting sprayer to slow the cure without washing out the cream?
