Hot take: curing compound is not a substitute for proper wet cure on driveways
Just finished a repour in Sparks off Pyramid Highway where the homeowner had another crew do his patio last summer with nothing but curing spray. That stuff flaked off by March and the surface scaled bad enough to see the aggregate. We busted it out and found weak paste near the top, maybe 1/2 inch deep. I know sprayed membranes save time, but on flatwork in Nevada heat they should have wet cured at least 3 days. Anyone else seen spray-only jobs fail within a year around here?

Had a pour in Fernley last August where we tried spray only and by April the top quarter inch was dust, so I get to be the guy who learned that lesson the hard way. The spray keeps water in for maybe a day or two, but in 100 degree heat with wind it's gone before the concrete even finishes setting up. Wet cure for 3 days is cheap compared to jackhammering out a slab, plain and simple.
3
