Bought into the hype about spray-on cure and seal and it actually paid off

I was dead set against spray-on cure and seal for years. Always used plastic sheeting to cover my concrete pours because that's how my old boss taught me back in 2005. Finally gave it a shot on a driveway job in Austin last month after my supplier talked me into it. The finish came out way more uniform with no wrinkling or discoloration compared to plastic. Anyone else had a similar change of heart on a product or method you used to hate?

You said "no wrinkling or discoloration" compared to plastic, but I gotta push back a little on that. Spray-on cure and seal can actually cause blotching if you don't put it on even, especially in hotter Texas weather. I tried it once on a sidewalk and learned the hard way that overlapping the spray too much creates dark patches that look worse than plastic sheeting wrinkles. Plastic is still better for big flat slabs where you can weigh down the edges good, but I'll admit the spray works nice for vertical stuff or tight spots where plastic just won't stay put.

Learned that one the hard way too, my slab looks like a dalmatian. 😂
