That time a client's cat unplugged their server mid-migration

I was at a small office in Portland last Tuesday swapping drives on their NAS when a fluffy orange menace knocked the power strip switch off, and now I bring a roll of electrical tape to every job to secure those stupid little rocker switches.

Lol I had a parrot yank an ethernet cable out during a backup restore.

Honestly, people act like a cat unplugging a server is some kind of disaster. It's just a power strip switch. If your migration can't handle a 5 second power cut then maybe the setup is the problem not the cat. I've seen way dumber stuff happen like someone spilling coffee or a cleaning crew vacuuming a cable loose. Electrical tape is fine but this whole story feels like a drama over something that's really not that big of a deal in the grand scheme. Is it just me who thinks people overreact to little bumps like this?
