That one client who fried their own motherboard still haunts me
Had a guy call me over to his house in Toledo after he tried to "fix" his PC by replacing the thermal paste with mayonnaise. Said he saw it in a hacked together YouTube video someone posted back in 2017. He was dead serious too, kept asking why his Ryzen 5 chip was smoking after he powered it on. Anyone else run into DIY fixes that just make you want to walk out the door?

Got a tenant once who tried to fix a leaky garbage disposal by dumping an entire bottle of super glue down the drain. She said it would seal everything up like a "waterproof epoxy." Came back three hours later with sludge water flooding the kitchen floor and the disposal making sounds like a dying cat. Ended up having to replace the whole unit and the cabinet underneath it. Sometimes people just need to stick to calling a pro when they're over their head.
