That conversation with my buddy about thermal paste made me rethink my whole approach

Was talking to a guy I met at Micro Center last week who said I was way overdoing it with thermal paste. He said 'you're not frosting a cake, just a pea sized dot.' Hit different because I realized I've been wasting thermal paste for 10 years on personal builds.

Seems like a lot of drama over some paste, doesn't it?

You said "drama over some paste" and that's exactly what it looks like on the surface. But honestly it's the same pattern I see everywhere now, where people get way too invested in little things that don't really matter. It's like that thing where neighbors argue over a fence that's two inches too high, or people fighting in the comments about which coffee shop has the better latte. We just love picking sides and making a big deal out of small stuff, probably because it gives us something to feel passionate about when bigger things feel too heavy to deal with. And once someone picks a side, they feel like they have to defend it to the death or they lose face. It's exhausting to watch but kind of funny too when you step back and see how silly it all is.
