I had a customer bring in a 2012 MacBook Pro with a 'coffee spill' that turned into a full motherboard swap, and the whole thing took 3 days because of one stripped screw.

What kind of screw was it that got stripped? Those tiny ones on the bottom case or something internal like on the logic board bracket?

Ugh, the tiny ones on the bottom. I swear they make those out of soft cheese. Had to use a rubber band trick to get the last one out.

Threw a rubber band at mine too and it still wouldn't budge. Ended up using a tiny flathead to sort of wedge it out, which scratched the hell out of the case around it. Can't believe they use such soft metal for something you're supposed to take out every few years.
