Customers always blame the RAM first, but it's usually the PSU
I do house calls for small biz setups around Cincinnati and last week alone I swapped out three "defective" RAM kits that were totally fine. Every time the PC would randomly restart under load and they'd already bought new sticks before calling me. Pulled out my multimeter and checked the 12v rail during a stress test, sure enough it dipped below 11.4v. A $90 power supply fixed all three machines. Anyone else see this pattern where folks skip the simple voltage check and start throwing parts at it?
