Appreciation post: A client in Phoenix swore their laptop was 'haunted' because the fan kept turning on at night.

Turns out they had it sitting on a fuzzy blanket, blocking every vent. Has anyone else had a 'haunted' device turn out to be a simple airflow fix?

Yeah, like valgibson said, it's always the rug or blanket. People just don't get how hot these things run. I've seen so many overheated consoles and laptops because they're buried in fabric. It's not a ghost, it's just basic physics. Your device is screaming for air.
