A client in Dayton once told me 'I don't need a backup, the computer is the backup' when I quoted him for a new drive.

I'm torn between respecting a customer's choice to save money and feeling a duty to push harder when I see a disaster waiting to happen, so where do you draw the line on insisting versus just documenting the refusal?

documenting the refusal" is just covering your own butt.

Dayton guy's line about "the computer is the backup" actually gets it backwards (the drive IS the computer storage).
