Ah yes, the old drive around and play detective trick. Nothing says professional like counting dark windows and guessing which ones are empty versus just people on vacation. Half the time the place looks dead but there's some guy living there who never opens his blinds, so your count is basically a coin flip. Still beats sitting on hold with property managers all day though. Maybe the real move is just parking outside and timing how long it takes for someone to come yell at you.
