Just found out how much vacancy rates can swing between cities
I was looking at some market reports from CBRE and saw the office vacancy rate in downtown San Francisco is over 30%. That's a huge jump from what I remember a few years back. It really shows how different one market can be from another, even in the same state. Has anyone else seen a stat lately that made you do a double take?

Actually, that 30% figure is for the whole San Francisco office market, not just downtown. Downtown is even worse, sitting closer to 35% from what I just read. It's a wild spread within the city itself. The real shock for me was seeing a city like Nashville with a vacancy rate under 10%. It really shows how the work-from-home shift hit some places much harder than others.

Nashville just built less office space to begin with.
